Due to growth, Gilero is offering an IT System Support specialist job in our fast-paced medical device design & manufacturing firm. This position will offer exposure to a variety of on-premises and cloud systems used to support the design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices that extend and improve the quality of human life.
The ideal candidate will provide prompt support for technical requests from internal manufacturing, administrative, software developers, and mechanical engineering staff. Common requests will include the setup of new accounts and workstations, software installations, and troubleshooting for application or system connectivity problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision accounts for new hires and adjust access rights.
- Assist users with credentials including assignment of identity verification tokens.
- Troubleshoot and repair software and hardware issues with end-user workstations.
- Provide basic support for network connectivity challenges, including remote troubleshooting for remote workers and different office locations.
- Assist employees and guests with AV systems in conference rooms.
- Deploy software and updates to end-user workstations and servers.
- Write training materials for employees.
- Assist the IT Manager and Quality department in updating internal procedures and documentation.
- Manage IT equipment inventory and verify software license compliance.
- Monitor system logs and backups.
Candidate Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Ability to work onsite in three days per week.
- 4+ years of Experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft-based PC and Server environments, including Active Directory. Basic Linux system experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Hands-on experience with network services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with pfsense, TrueNAS, and XCP-ng.
- Strong ability to identify malicious emails, phone calls, software, and websites to prevent security incidents and maintain system stability.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to take initiative and use creative solutions to solve problems.
- Ability to travel between our multiple office locations.
- Independent self-starter who is willing to learn new skills based on evolving business and project needs.
